Description
St Mawes is a small town on the south coast of Cornwall, England. It lies at the tip of the Roseland Peninsula, (which is designated as an 'area of outstanding natural beauty') opposite the large port of Falmouth. It can be reached by a small boat from Falmouth, passing between the well preserved castles of Pendennis and St. Mawes. After getting off the boat and leaving the harbour you can turn left and follow the road up to St. Mawes Castle. On the way you will pass beautiful thatched cottages on your right as seen in the image. The sea being on your left. The town itself was once a busy fishing port but is now a holiday destination with most of the properties being used as holiday accommodation.
