Description
Friars Crag view point is best visited on a still summer's evening, but just as good at any time of the year providing an excellent view of the lake and the Jaws of Borrowdale (looking down towards Castle Crag). The name comes from the Friars that would bring supplies to the hermit St. Herbert, who would row across from his island at their signal.
Friars crag is easily accessible from the car park at the Theatre By The Lake and the Derwent water boat landing stages. A perfect place to sit and unwind.
