Description
After a very mild Autumn and Winter of 2015/16, the winds finally started to come from the North and it snowed on the evening of Saturday the 17th of January, over night into the Sunday morning. Most of it had gone by late Sunday afternoon. I knew that Beacon Hill would still have a little snow left as Monday arrived and so I took myself and my camera up the Hill and found this snow still hanging on.
Beacon hill is one of the highest points in North Leicestershire and is part of the Charnwood Hills. It is a honey pot for people of the county and the surrounding counties. There is a herd of Highland cows and English Longhorns that are free to roam around the hill and surrounding area where they in themselves an attraction with their characteristic ways.
